Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Department: TechnologyLocation:Santa Monica, CA, US, 90404Summary of PositionThe SAP-BPC Director's purpose is to support the various Finance and Financial Planning groups that use BPC environments and models. This role provides the individual groups with training from basic to advanced, conducts troubleshooting and issue resolution, and plans and executes upgrades/enhancements to existing BPC environments and models. This role also engages in new BPC projects for existing as well as new groups. Examples of some projects would include adding new enhancements, creating new reporting and input schedules and subsequent user training, the creation of new BPC environments/models, and demonstrating BPC functionality available in the tool for possible future implementations. This role engages in planning, budgeting, and managing these various projects related to Finance Accounting and Financial Planning. Additionally, this role works with a wide variety of consultants, business users, and Management/Executives to build systems which support business goals.Responsibilities
- User training including system sign-in and navigation, report and input schedule creation and usage, dimension updates and maintenance, and data loading, copying, clearing and processing.
- System troubleshooting and support for issues such as signing on and connectivity, data loading, missing dimension members and hierarchy changes, and overall environment and server problems.
- Lead BPC software upgrades, enhancements, and patches including planning, testing and validation, and documentation.
- Recommend, test, and validate new BPC model security profiles.
- Create new BPC reports and input schedules using a variety of EPM Add-in technology options, as well as enhancing and updating existing reports and input schedules.
- Create completely new BPC environments/models based on business needs and requests.
- Research, demonstrate, and implement new and unused BPC functionality, increasing financial department's ability to analyze and report, streamline and consolidate functions, and perform tasks not currently automated and/or implemented.
- Manage and lead projects, including (but not limited to) planning, budgeting, and implementation, and contribute to annual corporate budget.
- Collaborate with and support users, management, executives, and
C-levels.Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years in SAP BPC versions 7.5 and 10.1 (Microsoft version)
- 7+ years of SAP BPC MS hands-on experience, leading up to Architect level work in an IT capacity, implementing complex and large-scale BPC solutions
- Determine BPC future state strategies, develop system requirements, design and prototype environments and models, perform testing, train all levels of users, define support procedures, and implement BPC solutions under multiple deadlines
- Expert-level proficiency in SAP BPC 10.1 (Microsoft), including architecture, performance optimization, and system administration.
- Advanced SQL Server skills, including query performance tuning, stored procedures, SSIS, and database optimization for BPC integration.
- Expertise with MDX (Multidimensional Expressions) for custom calculations, business logic, and reporting.
- BPC security administration expertise, including role-based access controls, audit tracking, and compliance governance.
- ETL & Data Integration expertise, integrating BPC MS with SAP ECC and SAP IPM (Intellectual Property Management).
- BPC system performance tuning, including memory optimization, front-end report optimization, and error handling.
- Experience in BPC software upgrades, version migrations, and system maintenance ensuring minimal disruption to business stakeholders.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for content production, including title level P&L, tracking ultimates, and revenue spreads across Theatrical, TV, xVOD and digital projects.
- Experience managing multi-entity consolidations, including eliminations, intercompany transactions, and multi-GAAP financial reporting to support corporate FP&A and external reporting requirements.
- Expertise in territory-level revenue forecasting, foreign currency adjustments, and international P&L consolidation.
- Experience integrating SAP BPC with rights management systems (e.g., SAP IPM, Vistex, Rightsline).
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel
- Functional understanding of ECC, IPM, BW, SQL server, Script Logic, ABAP, and Tableau for integrating with and extending BPC solutions
- Manage team of BPC support resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the ability to engage with all levels of the business and IT
- Experience in performance tuning BPC MS environments, including front-end report optimization, EPM formula and function usage, and memory optimization.
- Knowledge of planning and analytics tools, such as BPC on BW4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other FP&A solutions, is a plus
