Engineering Manager to join our quality assurance team. You will
work with our QA, Engineering, and Product teams to build and
maintain product testing processes and ensure that we are
continuously improving our QA processes within the company. Your
work may include developing test strategies, drawing up test
documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports.What you'll
be doing and held accountable for:Quality-Driven Processes:
Approaches prioritizing quality in development for optimal
performance and user satisfaction
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies that
incorporate risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and
test-driven development (TDD), tailored to the product's
architecture and user requirements to ensure quality at every stage
of development.
- Ensure thorough test coverage by creating detailed test plans
that include both manual and automated testing approaches,
utilizing tools such as Selenium for automation and conducting
systematic reviews to validate functionality, performance, and
security across all platforms.
- Monitor and continuously improve QA processes by analyzing
defect trends, gathering feedback from team members, and utilizing
metrics such as test execution time and defect density to identify
bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency
and effectiveness.Team Leadership and Collaboration: Cultivating
teamwork and open communication to achieve shared goals and drive
success
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team by
providing regular training sessions, establishing clear performance
metrics, and implementing a structured career development plan to
cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including
engineering, product management, and design-to establish and align
on quality standards, best practices, and testing strategies,
ensuring that quality objectives are integrated throughout the
product lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective communication by implementing regular
status meetings, creating shared documentation for tracking quality
metrics and issues, and using collaborative tools (e.g., Slack,
Jira) to ensure swift resolution of defects and foster a proactive
problem-solving environment.Proactive Quality Assurance and Risk
Management: Anticipating issues, implementing measures to ensure
product quality and mitigate risks
- Develop and implement comprehensive defect management
protocols, including clear processes for defect reporting,
prioritization, and resolution, while conducting root cause
analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent future
occurrences.
- Establish and execute a robust security and compliance testing
framework, incorporating regular vulnerability assessments,
penetration testing, and adherence to industry standards (e.g.,
GDPR, HIPAA) to safeguard user data and maintain regulatory
compliance.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues by
implementing monitoring and alerting systems, conducting regular
code audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to
enhance product reliability and minimize downtime.Requirements:
- Experience: 8+ years in software QA, including leadership
roles, with strong knowledge of manual and automated testing
tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build and mentor high-performing
QA teams, fostering collaboration across functions.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies
and hands-on experience with testing frameworks and tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for root cause
analysis and continuous quality improvement.
- Proactivity: Experience implementing preventive measures to
ensure product reliability and reduce defects.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities,
and timelines efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills: You care about
