The Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for analyzing the content of body fluids and tissue samples to detect the presence of possible viruses or bacterium.



Analyzes the chemical content of samples to determine if blood and body fluid cells are irregular or if a tumor is malignant, and/or detects the amount of medication in a patient's blood to see if treatments are effective for them.



Determines the best lab testing procedures and equipment - such as cell counters, microscopes and automated equipment - ensuring that testing is accurate.
